Meet Daisha…

My name is Daisha. Pronounced Dai-like in Today. Sha- like sha!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, adventurer and corny joke lover who enjoys working with children, adolescents, adults and families who are looking to make changes in their lives. As a book buddy in elementary school I learned of the many avenues of the helping field and fell in love with psychology. So much so that I went on to obtain my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from S.U.N.Y. College at Old Westbury, Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Preliminary Clinical Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor Training at Long Island University C.W. Post. To further support clients, I have completed EMDR training and certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). Since graduating, I have had the pleasure of gaining a wide range of experience in settings including outpatient, school, family shelters, substance treatment facility and children’s residential treatment facility.
